ISRAEL VINES 'RMXD' [EYE TEETH] (A SUBLABEL OF INTERDIMENSIONAL TRANSMISSIONS) EP - OUT JUNE 15, 2015

This is the second release on Eye Teeth, the new techno sublabel of Interdimensional Transmissions, a remix EP with interpretations direct from the peers of Israel Vines.

BMG and Erika of Interdimensional Transmissions started their Eye Teeth sublabel as way of exploring pure and experimental techno in an entirely contemporary context (where IT proper often uses historical lenses and a wider musical context). This is Techno from Detroit and America, not Detroit Techno. They would like to see American Techno evolve, and this new imprint is an attempt to be a catalyst in that arena.

This EP features an incredible peak time remix of "WWKD" from Silent Servant, a long time supporter of Israel Vines, also based in LA. It is followed by another powerful and surprisingly straight techno take on “WWKD” by the often more experimental and industrial Talker. Talker is a Downwards based duo from Chicago featuring John “Stave” Krohn (whom Israel Vines has done a superb remix for on the Trensmat label), and Karl Meier, who besides being a sort of Chicago legendary tastemaker having worked everywhere from Gramaphone back in the day to Regis’ and Tony‘s Integrale distribution also did one of the best records of the Sandwell District catalogue as Kalon.

The B Side features a version of “Relapse” by Eye Teeth founder and curator BMG (aka Brendan Gillen). This is his first published remix created entirely on his modular synth.

This EP was pre-mastered by Neel at Enisslab Studio in Rome. The vinyl was mastered by Carl at Trutone and pressed at Archer Records in Detroit. Eye Teeth is distributed by Rush Hour. Catalogue Matrix: TEETH-2.

About Israel Vines

Israel Vines is from literally everywhere, having spent formative rave years in Detroit, working at Gramaphone in Chicago, and now living and working in Los Angeles. He first made an impact with his label Borrowed Language, doing a number of split EPs and collaborations with Jeff Pietro, where the two created a strange combination of thunderous Birmingham Techno and modern Bass Music. Vines has also released on Cult Figures, Semantica, and Horizontal Ground, while providing remixes for Erika, Makaton, and Stave. In addition to his expansive DJ sets, he is currently collaborating with Chicago artist Kit Geary as KGIV. His EP "WWKD" was the first releases on Eye Teeth - listen to it below (note this is the source material for the remix EP mentioned above)
